1 heaping tablespoon of butter, pinch of cumin

1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder or 1 diced garlic clove.

Salt to taste, 1/2 teaspoon should do it.

Bring to a boil. Slowly add 4 or 5 tablespoons of flour dissolved in cold water, using whip or cooking spoon, till desired consistency. When using flour or corn starch, I will always mix more than I use, easier to throw away some, than to have to stop and mix more.

Kamado Cooking For Chicken

chicken recipes

If you’re not familiar with a kamado it’s a derivation of an ancient Chinese clay cooking pot that was later adapted by the Japanese (who named it Mushikamado) and it finally made it to the western world in the middle of the last century. Nowadays the clay has been replaced by high performance ceramic, it still typically is fuelled by charcoal but the versatility of the ceramic barbecue grill is pretty amazing. There’s a variety of brands on the market such as the Primo kamado and the Big Green Egg but it has to be said that trying to find a kamado ceramic barbecue in Europe is still a thankless task.

The kamado is so versatile in that you can use it as a grill, smoker or even as an oven. The temperatures you can reach make it possible to cook pizza and I also like to use mine to mimic the tandoor and it’s great for chicken tikka and naan bread. For today however I’m going to concentrate on the whole chicken and use my kamado as a smoker and a traditional oven.

Organize Your Recipe Collection For Free

chicken recipes

Collecting recipes from all over the world wide web can be fun and very rewarding in terms of the food you eat. It can also be a nightmare to organize. It doesn’t have to be. A little work early on will pay rich rewards as your recipe collection grows.

There’s no need to buy expensive software, everything you need is on your computer right now. There’s no need to print anything out, either, even though most good cooking websites provide you with that facility. You just need to follow the easy, step by step, instructions below.

I’m going to assume that you are a Windows user and that you have Internet Explorer as your web browser (the software that lets you access the internet). If you have a different system don’t worry, the only real difference is likely to be that your ‘Favorites’ file is called ‘bookmarks’. I’m also going to assume that you know next to nothing about using that file. You may find it easier to print these instructions out.

Here’s what you need to do:

1.Open your browser by double clicking on the ‘e’ shaped icon on your desktop (the area of screen you see when nothing else is happening).
